Edition 2025 — Good Friday Ficarra

In 2025, Ficarra once again held its traditional Good Friday Procession, celebrated on April 18 as part of the Holy Week rites. The 'varette' with the Mysteries of the Passion passed through the historic center of the Nebrodi village amidst the solemn participation of the faithful, confirming the vitality of a religious tradition deeply rooted in the Messina community.

In 2025, the Good Friday Procession of Ficarra was held on April 18, the day of Good Friday. As is customary, the varette depicting the Mysteries of the Passion of Christ — the Addolorata, the Ecce Homo, the Crucified Jesus, and the Dead Jesus in the urn — were carried in procession along the streets of the historic center of the Nebrodi village.

The rite, included among the recurring events of the Municipality of Ficarra, renewed the intense popular participation in the meditation of the Passion, the culminating moment of Holy Week before the Easter of Resurrection.
