Edition 2025 — Trinitarian Procession
The 2025 Good Friday Procession took place in Sulmona on April 18, a day marked by two moments: at 5:00 PM, the small Lauretana procession, and at 8:00 PM, the solemn Trinitarian procession, which departed from the Baroque Church of the Most Holy Trinity, led by a brass band playing a funeral march.
Opening the pageant was the Tronco, the large 1752 crimson velvet cross, while over a hundred choristers from the Schola Cantorum chanted the Miserere. The Trinitarians in red robes paraded with their "struscio" through the historic center, crossing the thirteen churches and Piazza Garibaldi. Approximately ten thousand people attended the rite, including the faithful and visitors.
