Edition 2025 — Good Friday in Capena
Good Friday 2025 in Capena
On April 18, 2025, the historic center of Capena, in the province of Rome, hosted the Good Friday procession, a religious tradition deeply felt by the community. From 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, numerous costumed participants re-enacted the Passion of Christ, carrying the symbols of the Passion arranged on silver platters in the procession.
The event, free and open to all, was managed by the Pro Loco of Capena, starting from the Piazza San Luca area, the site of the Town Hall. The rite involved residents and visitors in a solemn and communal atmosphere, confirming itself as one of the most defining appointments in the calendar of the Lazio village.
