Edition 2025 — Gnocchi and Pecora alla Callara Festival

The 2025 edition of the Gnocchi and Pecora alla Callara Festival took place from August 1st to 3rd, 2025, in the historic center of Carpineto della Nora, in the province of Pescara. For three evenings, the village at the foot of the Gran Sasso offered handmade gnocchi, pecora alla callara, arrosticini, pallotte cacio e ova, sausages, and rabbit, accompanied by live music. The event, organized by the Pro Loco, confirmed its role as a benchmark gastronomic appointment of the Abruzzo summer.

From August 1st to 3rd, 2025, the historic center of Carpineto della Nora hosted the Gnocchi and Pecora alla Callara Festival, one of the most beloved summer gastronomic events in the Province of Pescara. The three evenings, enlivened by live music, featured handmade gnocchi and sheep meat slow-cooked in the callara, along with arrosticini, pallotte cacio e ova, sausages, rabbit, and other traditional Abruzzo specialties. Organized by the Pro Loco of Carpineto della Nora, the festival attracted visitors to the Gran Sasso National Park village in a festive and convivial atmosphere.
