Gnocchetti alla Montanara Festival (Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows)

The seventeenth edition

The 2025 edition of the Gnocchetti alla Montanara Festival—the seventeenth—was held on Saturday, September 6, in Piazza Garibaldi, in the historic center of Vico nel Lazio, with the Church of San Martino in the foreground. As per tradition, the evening combined the confraternity's cuisine, which served gnocchetti alla montanara, with plenty of entertainment: musical accompaniment, dance performances, and a food and wine stand with other specialties from the Ciociaria region.

The festival was part of the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows weekend, which occurs in Vico nel Lazio on the first Sunday of September: on Sunday, religious celebrations, including mass and a procession through the village streets, concluded one of the most heartfelt festivals of the village's summer in the province of Frosinone.
