Edition 2025 — Sciuti Prize
The 11th edition of the Giuseppe Sciuti International Painting Prize was held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 6:00 PM, in the Council Chamber of the Zafferana Etnea Town Hall. Promoted by the Municipality with the Giuseppe Sciuti Artistic-Cultural Association and under the artistic direction of Paolo Giansiracusa, the ceremony renewed the memory of the Etnean painter by awarding three Italian and international artists, with musical accompaniment by Maestro Rosario Mangano.
11th edition, November 8, 2025
The eleventh edition of the Sciuti Prize took place in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall of Zafferana Etnea, under the jury presidency of Mayor Salvatore Russo and coordinated by Graziella Torrisi. The awards went to:
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Elio Ruffo, for a consistent and refined career that combines technical mastery and expressive depth;
- Honorary Mention: Elena Tommasi Ferroni, for a personal and visionary style that reinterprets figuration in a poetic key;
- Youth Creativity Award: Taisiia Nikitenko, a young artist with an innovative and sensitive production.
The evening, accompanied by the music of Maestro Rosario Mangano, confirmed the cultural vocation of the Etnean municipality and its bond with the figure of Giuseppe Sciuti.
