Giro della Laguna – Orbetello Half Marathon

The 15th edition of the Giro della Laguna – Orbetello Half Marathon was held on April 26 and 27, 2025, in the municipality of Orbetello (Grosseto). The race attracted about 500 participants for the half marathon and a hundred for the walk, with athletes coming from all over Italy and about ten foreign countries, including Ukraine, Great Britain, Germany, and Norway.

The program combined sport, nature, and culture: opening of the race village, a nature photography workshop, and a "World Wild Marathon" excursion to discover the lagoon ecosystem. On Sunday, the 21.097 km half marathon started at 9:30 AM, followed by awards and a pasta party. The event, organized by the Gruppo Sportivo Reale Stato dei Presidi with the patronage of the Municipality, confirmed its vocation as an event that promotes the Maremma territory.
