Edition 2025 — Giostra della Rocca

In 2025, the Giostra della Rocca once again brought Monselice back to the Middle Ages, with the challenge between the nine contrade, the medieval market, the chess tournament, the drum competition, the historical procession, and the Quintana horse race, over two weeks in September dedicated to reenacting the passage of Frederick II.

The 2025 edition of the Giostra della Rocca renewed, in Monselice, province of Padua, the grand reenactment of the passage of Frederick II of Swabia in 1239.

With its medieval market, chess tournament, skill tests by the nine contrade, drum competition, historical procession, and spectacular Quintana horse race, the event confirmed its identity as one of the most heartfelt reenactments in the Veneto region, organized by Giostra della Rocca ETS.

Programme

The 2025 edition reprised the usual structure: medieval market, chess tournament with living game, skill and strength tests among the nine contrade, drum competition, historical procession, and Quintana horse race.
