Edition 2025 — Giostra della Rocca

In 2025, the Giostra della Rocca once again transported Monselice back to the Middle Ages, with the challenge between the nine districts, the medieval market, the chess tournament, the drum challenge, the historical pageant, and the horse Quintana, over two weeks in September dedicated to re-enacting the passage of Frederick II.

The 2025 edition of the Giostra della Rocca renewed in Monselice, in the province of Padua, the grand re-enactment of Frederick II of Swabia's passage in 1239.

Amidst the medieval market, chess tournament, skill and strength tests of the nine districts, drum challenge, historical pageant, and the spectacular horse Quintana, the event confirmed its identity as one of the most heartfelt re-enactments in the Veneto region, organised by Giostra della Rocca ETS.

Programme

The 2025 edition reprised the usual format: medieval market, chess tournament with living game, skill and strength tests among the nine districts, drum challenge, historical pageant, and horse Quintana.
