Giostra della Quintana di Foligno – La Sfida

The 2025 edition of La Sfida confirmed the charm of Umbria's most important Baroque reenactment. In the weeks prior, the district taverns of Foligno's ten districts animated the historic centre with traditional cuisine and the conviviality that precedes the contest.

On the evening of the historical parade, the city streets filled with ladies, nobles, and soldiers in refined 17th-century costumes; the following day, at the Campo de li Giochi, the knights faced each other in the ring joust, a test of skill and speed that awards the first of the two annual palios. The rematch then took place in September.
