Giostra dei Castelli di Torre

The 2025 Edition

The 39th edition of the Giostra dei Castelli, on September 20-21, 2025, at Torre Castle, recreated the grand reenactment of late 15th-century Friuli. Over 350 costumed participants were featured in the parade, including 200 artists from 23 of the best historical groups on the peninsula — from Abruzzo, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Umbria, Veneto, and numerous Friulian companies.

Among the events were the medieval market with 17 merchants, the "Mytos" fire shows, the parade with nobles, knights, and artisans, the knightly joust, and, for the third consecutive year, the Historical Palio of Archery team competition between the districts of Torre, Vallenoncello, Villanova, and Rorai Grande. The program was completed by guided tours of the museum, children's workshops, medieval games, and period gastronomy with the "chalda".
