Giostra all'Incontro - Cesena Palio

The Giostra all'Incontro 2025 was held in Cesena from September 6 to 14, with the final challenge on Sunday, September 14, at 5:00 PM in Piazza del Popolo. The four competing districts were paired with the knights: Cesuola with Attilio La Mura, Borello with Alessandro Morelli, Centro Urbano with Daniele Chiveri, and Cervese Sud with Massimiliano Bernardinello, with Centro Urbano aiming for a repeat victory after winning two years prior.

The Palio 2025 banner was painted with acrylic technique on canvas by sixteen-year-old Iselin Romboli, a student at the 'Canova' art high school in Forlì, with a work rich in symbolism related to the city and its joust. The week offered a packed program: the procession to the Madonna del Monte, the historical-theatrical show 'Music and People from the Belle Époque' at the Rocca Malatestiana with the Banda Città di Cesena, workshops and historical walks, conferences, entertainment, the ring joust, and historical fencing, culminating in the parade and evening banquet preceding the grand final challenge.

• Wednesday, September 10, 9:00 PM — Historical-theatrical show 'Music and People from the Belle Époque' at the Rocca Malatestiana, with the Banda Città di Cesena.
• Thursday, September 11 — Workshops and historical walks.
• Friday, September 12, 6:30 PM — Conference on archives and artificial intelligence with Davide Savelli.
• Saturday, September 13 — Entertainment, ring joust, historical fencing, parade, and evening banquet.
• Sunday, September 14, 5:00 PM — Final Giostra all'Incontro in Piazza del Popolo.
