Gioco dell'Anello

The 2025 edition of the Gioco dell'Anello represented a leap in quality for the Castelfranco di Sopra event (Castelfranco Piandiscò, Arezzo): the fifth edition was extended to three days, from Friday, July 11th to Sunday, July 13th, with a program enriched with more events compared to previous years.

Friday evening saw the opening of the street food area, followed by a presentation conference with the team coaches and a DJ set. Saturday featured the evocative blessing of the shields of the districts at the Badia di Soffena and the first matches, while the final was held on Sunday evening. On the field, with the ring placed three meters high, the four historic Gates — Porta Buia, Porta Montanina, Porta Campana, and Porta Aretina — created an intense competition, amidst costumed parades, flag-waver performances, food and wine stalls, and craft markets in the heart of the Valdarno village.
