Edition 2025 — Gioco del Ponte

The 2025 edition of the Gioco del Ponte took place on Saturday, June 28, on the Ponte di Mezzo in Pisa. After a hard-fought battle, the Parte di Mezzogiorno conquered the bridge, winning for the second consecutive time: something that had not happened since 1990. The decision came down to the final tie-breaker, after a bout lasting 22 minutes and 26 seconds.

The 2025 Gioco del Ponte took place on Saturday, June 28 on the Ponte di Mezzo in Pisa, preceded by the traditional Mostra delle Parti along the Lungarni. The challenge between Tramontana and Mezzogiorno was particularly balanced: after the fourth bout, the situation saw Tramontana ahead 3 to 1, but Mezzogiorno managed to rebalance the challenge.

The victory was decided by the final bella between the Nationals, with a bout lasting 22 minutes and 26 seconds. The Parte di Mezzogiorno thus conquered the Ponte di Mezzo, repeating its 2024 success: a consecutive double win not seen since 1990.
