Edition 2025 — Naxos Children's Film Festival

The 30th edition of the Giardini-Naxos Children's Film Festival took place from July 21 to 27, 2025, in the historic courtyard of the Don Bosco Oratory. A week of screenings dedicated to younger audiences, with a youth jury deciding the best film. The 30th-anniversary edition also celebrated 130 years of cinema. The award for best film went to «The Wild Robot» by Chris Sanders.

The 30th edition of the Giardini-Naxos Children's Film Festival was held from July 21 to 27, 2025, at the Don Bosco Oratory, under the artistic direction of Ignazio Vasta and presented by Father Gianluca Monte.

The opening evening on July 21 featured participant registration, the presentation of trailers for the films in competition, and the video «Happy Birthday Cinema» for the 130th anniversary of the seventh art, followed by the screening of «Dog Man» by Peter Hastings. In the following days, films such as «Last Film Show» by Pan Nalin, «The Wild Robot» by Chris Sanders, «The Boy and the Heron» by Hayao Miyazaki, and «The Last Time We Were Children» by Claudio Bisio were screened.

The closing Sunday, July 27, saw the awards ceremony: the Best Film Award assigned by the youth jury went to «The Wild Robot», along with the Mons. Salvatore Cingari Memorial Award and the Naxos Cavalluccio Marino recognitions.

Monday, July 21 — Opening evening: registration, trailers of films in competition, «Happy Birthday Cinema» video (130 years of Cinema), and screening of «Dog Man» (Peter Hastings, USA 2025).

Wednesday, July 23 — Presentation of the activities of the Giardini-Naxos Pro Loco and screening of «Last Film Show» (Pan Nalin, India/France/USA 2021).

Thursday, July 24 — «The Wild Robot» (Chris Sanders, USA 2024).

Friday, July 25 — «The Boy and the Heron» (Hayao Miyazaki, Japan 2023).

Saturday, July 26 — «The Last Time We Were Children» (Claudio Bisio, Italy 2023).

Sunday, July 27 — Awards ceremony: Best Film, Mons. Salvatore Cingari Award, Naxos Cavalluccio Marino Awards.
