Edition 2025 — Giant Maccheronata of Avio

The 2025 edition of the Giant Maccheronata of Avio took place on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, on Shrove Tuesday. In the historic center of the town, in the Vallagarina valley, traditional maccheroni with meat sauce were served alongside crepes and fries, accompanied by a festive costume parade and a lottery, in an atmosphere of great popular participation.

In 2025, the Giant Maccheronata of Avio returned on schedule for Shrove Tuesday, on March 4, 2025. In the center of the town, in the Vallagarina valley, the community gathered around the large pots of maccheroni with meat sauce, the heart of the Avio carnival tradition. As every year, the day combined gastronomy and celebration: crepes, fries, the costume parade for children, and the inevitable lottery. The event confirmed the vitality of a centuries-old tradition that is part of the Vallagarina Carnival calendar.
