Giacomo Bove Day

The 2025 edition of Giacomo Bove Day took place over three days, from April 27 to 29, 2025, expanding from Maranzana to the municipalities of Mombaruzzo and Calamandrana, in the Asti area.

The main event, on Sunday, April 27 in Maranzana, was attended by officers from the Air Force and the Navy Hydrographic Institute, featuring a visit to the museum, a tribute at the tomb, and speeches in the hall of the La Maranzana Winery. On this occasion, a precious model representing Bove's journey to the Congo, created by Dr. Gianmario Regge, was donated to the association.

In the following days, the festival involved local schools: on Monday the 28th, a large treasure hunt "On the trail of Giacomo Bove" at the Mombaruzzo secondary school, and on Tuesday the 29th, cartography workshops at the Calamandrana primary school. The edition commemorated the 140th anniversary of the explorer's expedition to the Congo.
