Edition 2025 — Gavignano Carnival

In 2025, the Gavignano Carnival once again enlivened the Lepini Mountains village with its traditional masked celebration. As usual, the event was promoted by the Municipality together with local associations and involved families, children, and teenagers in an afternoon of joy through the streets of the historic center, with costumes, music, and traditional Lazio Carnival sweets.

The Carnival in Gavignano in 2025

The Carnival has long been one of the most cherished events in the winter calendar of Gavignano, a small town in the Metropolitan City of Rome overlooking the Sacco Valley, in the Lazio region. In 2025, the masked party once again brought the town together, with the participation of local associations and Gavignano families.

The formula is the well-established one of the Lepini Mountains community festivals: homemade costumes, the historic center filling with colors and confetti, entertainment for children, and traditional Carnival sweets—castagnole and frappe—shared in the square. A moment of social connection that preceded the return of the event in February 2026, when the parade set off again from Piazza della Repubblica to continue with the party at the Pincetto.
