Edition 2025 — Gattopardo Cinefestival

The 7th edition of the Gattopardo Cinefestival took place in Ciminna from July 21 to 26, 2025, featuring six days of cinema, meetings, music, and memory. The Gattopardo City of Ciminna Award was presented to master Giancarlo Giannini. Guests also included Margareth Madè, Antonio Catania, and Ida Galli, under the artistic direction of Sergio D'Arrigo.

7th edition 2025

The seventh edition of the Gattopardo Cinefestival was held in Ciminna, in the province of Palermo, from July 21 to 26, 2025, dedicated to the dialogue between memory and innovation. The festival opened in Piazza Matrice with an inaugural ceremony and a video mapping show on the Palazzo di Donnafugata.

Among the most applauded events were the show The Leopard between theater and music with Sebastiano Somma, meetings on the relationship between territory and cinematic production, the screening of the film Il Depistaggio filmed in Ciminna, and the comparison between Visconti's The Leopard and the new Netflix series, with the participation of Ida Galli and Margareth Madè.

The closing evening on July 26 saw the presentation of the Gattopardo City of Ciminna Award to master Giancarlo Giannini, followed by the Gattopardo Grand Ball with performers in period costumes. The artistic direction was entrusted to Sergio D'Arrigo, with the organization by the Municipality of Ciminna.

Monday, July 21: Inaugural ceremony in Piazza Matrice with Antonio Catania and video mapping at Palazzo di Donnafugata. Tuesday, July 22: Show "The Leopard between theater and music" with Sebastiano Somma. Wednesday, July 23: Meeting "From territory to cinematic product" and concert by Massimo Minutella. Thursday, July 24: Screening of the film "Il Depistaggio" filmed in Ciminna. Friday, July 25: Visconti-Netflix comparison with Ida Galli and Margareth Madè. Saturday, July 26: Gattopardo Award to Giancarlo Giannini and Gattopardo Grand Ball.
