Gattopardo Biennale

Masterpieces to read and see

The second edition of the Gattopardo Biennale took place from May 10 to June 8, 2025, in the spaces of the Palazzo Ducale in Palma di Montechiaro, under the artistic direction of Michele Citro. The exhibition, titled Masterpieces to read and see, brought together fifteen Italian and international artists called upon to translate great works of literature into images through paintings, sculptures, installations, and digital art.

The event, with free admission, was included in the Agrigento Italian Capital of Culture 2025 program and recorded over 15,000 visitors from Sicily and other Italian regions. The closing conference, dedicated to the relationship between art and culture, saw the participation of nationally renowned experts and speakers, confirming Palma di Montechiaro as one of the emerging cultural realities in the province of Agrigento.
