Edition 2025 — Gargano Pardon
The 2025 edition of the Gargano Pardon renewed the tradition of the nocturnal penitential walk organized by the Capuchin Friars of San Giovanni Rotondo for youth, pilgrims, and the faithful. On June 30, the pilgrimage began with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Archbishop Franco Moscone; from there, pilgrims tackled the roughly 26 kilometers along the road connecting Monte Sant'Angelo to San Giovanni Rotondo. A distinctive sign of the year was the relic of Blessed Father Pino Puglisi — a Gospel book that accompanied the Sicilian priest — carried along the path. The march concluded with the opening of the Holy Door and the plenary indulgence, in the presence of Cardinal Domenico Battaglia, who walked as a pilgrim among the faithful.
