Gangi Carnival - A Cravaccata

The 2025 edition of the Gangi Carnival, in the province of Palermo, renewed the tradition of the Cravaccata. On Shrove Tuesday, masked horsemen and allegorical floats traveled through the historic center of the Madonie village, reaching Piazza del Popolo for the customary awards ceremony entrusted to the jury composed of the Municipality, Pro Loco, and local associations. The parade concluded a period of festivities that, as every year, involved both adults and children with the Children's Carnival and masquerade evenings, reaffirming the identity value of this festival for the Gangi community.
