Edition 2025 — GAD Festival

The 78th edition of the GAD – National Drama Festival took place in Pesaro from October 16 to 26, 2025, at the Teatro Sperimentale. The best Italian amateur theatre companies competed on stage with productions ranging from classics to contemporary drama. The first prize was awarded to the play Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, staged by the Compagnia Filodrammatica Orenese of Vimercate.

78th Edition (2025)

From October 16 to 26, 2025, Pesaro hosted the 78th edition of the GAD – National Drama Festival, reaffirming its status as Italy's oldest event dedicated to non-professional theatre. On the stage of the Teatro Sperimentale, the finalist amateur companies from the national selection performed.

The winning production was Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, staged by the Compagnia Filodrammatica Orenese of Vimercate, which received the Golden Mask. The edition also saw the awarding of prizes for direction and acting, as well as the Antonio Conti Award for playwriting.
