On Saturday, December 20, 2025, San Salvo renewed the tradition of the Fuoco di San Tommaso in Piazza San Vitale. The central moment was the lighting of the fire by parish priest Father Raimondo Artese alongside Mayor Emanuela De Nicolis, followed by a blessing. The evening featured the historical re-enactment of the arrival of the relics of San Vitale the Martyr, patron saint of San Salvo, and concluded with a concert by Alberto Bertoli, one of the most anticipated musical events. It was a well-attended edition that confirmed the strong bond of the San Salvo community with this ancient Abruzzese winter tradition.
