Frog Festival

The 2025 Frog Festival brought the medieval village of Paganico, in the municipality of Civitella Paganico (GR), to life from August 30 to September 7. The food stand opened on Friday, August 30, offering frog-based dishes and Maremma specialties every evening, accompanied by local wines.

Highlights of the edition included the Children's Frog Palio, the historical pageant of the districts with the blessing of the wheelbarrows, and, as a grand finale, the Frog Palio on the first Sunday of September, featuring the challenge between the Rione Centro, Porta Gorella, Porta Grossetana, and Porta Senese. The program was completed by craft markets, an exhibition of ancient trades, and live music evenings with the Barranocchia.
