Edition 2025 — Freilichtspiele Lana

In the summer of 2025, Freilichtspiele Lana presented "Verkaufte Heimat," a historical drama by the award-winning South Tyrolean author Felix Mitterer, directed by Thomas Hochkofler. From July 4 to 29, every evening at 9:00 PM, the Kapuzinergarten in Lana hosted the show, which told the story of a family and an entire South Tyrolean village between 1938 and 1945.

Verkaufte Heimat — Summer 2025

The 2025 edition of Freilichtspiele Lana staged "Verkaufte Heimat" (Sold Homeland), a powerful historical drama by South Tyrolean author Felix Mitterer, directed by Thomas Hochkofler. The work retraces the fate of a family and an entire South Tyrolean village between 1938 and 1945, addressing themes of lost homeland, identity, and the abuse of political power during one of the most dramatic periods in South Tyrolean history: the Option agreement.

Performances were held from July 4 to 29, 2025, every evening at 9:00 PM in the Kapuzinergarten of Lana, Bolzano province, with a tight-knit ensemble of professional and amateur actors. The ticket price was 25 euros.
