Fratta dell'Ottocento

Fratta dell'Ottocento 2025 brought the historic centre of Umbertide back to the atmosphere of the Risorgimento century from 28 to 31 August. For four days, the streets and squares of the town in the Upper Tiber Valley were populated by Garibaldini soldiers, brigands, ladies, and peasants in costume, while the taverns and inns served popular recipes of the era such as torta sul panaro, prosciutto, and bruscatella.

The programme alternated classical and folk music concerts, theatrical and dance performances, traditional games, and thematic exhibitions dedicated to the 19th century. The re-enactment, organised by the Fratta dell'Ottocento Association with the Accademia dei Riuniti and the Municipality of Umbertide, confirmed the strong involvement of the entire community and the influx of thousands of visitors.
