Fratta dell'Ottocento

Fratta dell'Ottocento 2025 brought the historic centre of Umbertide back to the atmosphere of the Risorgimento century from August 28 to 31. For four days, the streets and squares of the town in the Upper Tiber Valley were populated by Garibaldini, brigands, ladies, and peasants in costume, while the taverns and inns served popular period recipes such as 'torta sul panaro', prosciutto, and 'bruscatella'.

The programme featured a mix of classical and folk music concerts, theatre and dance performances, traditional games, and thematic exhibitions dedicated to the 19th century. The reenactment, organised by the Associazione Fratta dell'Ottocento with the Accademia dei Riuniti and the Municipality of Umbertide, confirmed the strong involvement of the entire community and the influx of thousands of visitors.
