Edition 2025 — Franz-Tumler-Literaturpreis
Franz-Tumler-Literaturpreis 2025: The anniversary edition
The tenth edition of the Franz-Tumler-Literaturpreis was held on September 18-19, 2025, in Lasa (Laas), in the Vinschgau Valley, province of Bolzano. With the opening at the municipal library and public readings at the Josefshaus, five authors presented their debut novels before an international jury and a large audience.
In competition: Amira Ben Saoud (Schweben), Christina König (Alles, was du wolltest), Annegret Liepold (Unter Grund), Ricarda Messner (Wo der Name wohnt), and Jan Snela (Ja, Schnecke, ja).
The main prize, worth 8,000 euros, was awarded to Christina König for the novel Alles, was du wolltest (Otto Müller Verlag), with the ceremony held at St. Mark's Church (Markuskirche). The audience award went to Annegret Liepold for Unter Grund. As is tradition, the marble village accompanied the event by displaying quotes from the novels in shop windows.
