Edition 2025 — Franz-Tumler-Literaturpreis

The tenth anniversary edition of the Franz-Tumler-Literaturpreis took place on September 18-19, 2025, in Lasa (Laas), Vinschgau Valley. Five German-language debut novels competed for the prize before the public and an international jury. The winner was Christina König with the novel "Alles, was du wolltest" (Otto Müller Verlag), awarded 8,000 euros at St. Mark's Church. The audience award went to Annegret Liepold for "Unter Grund".

Franz-Tumler-Literaturpreis 2025: The anniversary edition

The tenth edition of the Franz-Tumler-Literaturpreis was held on September 18-19, 2025, in Lasa (Laas), in the Vinschgau Valley, province of Bolzano. With the opening at the municipal library and public readings at the Josefshaus, five authors presented their debut novels before an international jury and a large audience.

In competition: Amira Ben Saoud (Schweben), Christina König (Alles, was du wolltest), Annegret Liepold (Unter Grund), Ricarda Messner (Wo der Name wohnt), and Jan Snela (Ja, Schnecke, ja).

The main prize, worth 8,000 euros, was awarded to Christina König for the novel Alles, was du wolltest (Otto Müller Verlag), with the ceremony held at St. Mark's Church (Markuskirche). The audience award went to Annegret Liepold for Unter Grund. As is tradition, the marble village accompanied the event by displaying quotes from the novels in shop windows.
