Francigena Film Festival

The sixth edition of the Francigena Film Festival was held in San Gimignano on Friday, August 29, and Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Arena Estiva Cinema set up at the Rocca di Montestaffoli, with screenings starting at 9:00 PM on both evenings.

The first evening featured the screening of the finalist short films in competition, international works that explored travel in its many facets—from time travel to discovery, from hope to love and faith. The closing evening on Saturday saw the announcement of the winners and the presentation of the Il Sacco del Pellegrino award, followed by a special section featuring archival footage of San Gimignano and the screening of a 1925 film. Admission was free. The 'Visioni' section had an appendix in Colle di Val d'Elsa in October 2025.
