Edition 2025 — Francigena Festival
An edition in the spirit of the Jubilee
The 2025 Francigena Festival was held on May 24 and 25 between Priverno and the village of Fossanova, with the theme "The Francigena and the Jubilee: Paths of Hope", chosen in harmony with the Holy Year.
On Saturday, May 24, at the Buvette dei Musei in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, a new English-language guide dedicated to the Via Francigena, authored by Sandy Brown, was presented. On Sunday, May 25, three distinct walks, departing from Sonnino, Priverno, and Maenza respectively, led participants to converge on Fossanova Abbey through the landscapes of the Lepini Mountains.
In the afternoon, the Infirmary of the Conversi Auditorium hosted a conference on the environmental, historical, archaeological, and gastronomic riches of the territories crossed by the Southern Francigena. The day was completed by food stands, live music, and cultural meetings in the village. The organization was handled by the Gruppo dei Dodici together with the DMO Francigena Sud nel Lazio, with free admission.
