France Odeon 2025 – Forty years of French cinema
The 2025 edition, held from October 29 to November 2 at the Cinema La Compagnia in Florence, celebrated forty years of French cinema's presence in the city. The pre-opening on October 29, dedicated to 'Myths' and introduced by Steve Della Casa, featured the documentary Louis Malle, le révolté and a tribute to Claudia Cardinale with Les pétroleuses.
Guests and films
Guests included Oscar-winning director Michel Hazanavicius, writer Emmanuel Carrère, and director Olivier Assayas. The program featured Italian premieres such as La venue de l'avenir by Cédric Klapisch, Vie privée starring Jodie Foster, Nouvelle Vague by Richard Linklater, and Le Mage du Kremlin by Olivier Assayas, as well as the world premiere of C'est quoi l'amour? by Fabien Gorgeart. The closing ceremony saw the presentation of the Foglia d'Oro awards, with a jury composed of Antonio Piazza, Celeste Dalla Porta, and Colapesce.
