Fracchie Procession

On Good Friday, April 18, 2025, San Marco in Lamis experienced its night of fire. The heart of the event was the historic center, where dozens of fracchie paraded following the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows, lit shortly before the start of the procession and pulled by hand by the faithful. During the day, the Edificio Balilla hosted an exhibition and workshops dedicated to the tradition, while in the square in front, the Associazione Le Fracchie set up an info-point and a Live Point with interviews and podcasts, in the morning from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and in the afternoon from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. An appointment that confirmed the fracchie as a unique and recognizable symbol of the community.
