Edition 2025 — Forni Narranti
The first edition of Forni Narranti transformed Venasca into a widespread laboratory of memory and tradition from September 20 to December 21, 2025. The festival opened with the artistic workshop "Una storia tutta da impastare" (A story to knead) with Cristina Levet and the musical reading "La terra, la bellezza, l'amore: questo ha sapore di pane" (Earth, beauty, love: this tastes like bread) with Luca Occelli and Franco Olivero.
Events included: a conference by anthropologist Annibale Salsa on the role of bread in the Alps, a walk to the historical ovens of the hamlets with the lighting of the communal oven at Borgata Quaglia, the evening "Pane, vino e tante storie" (Bread, wine, and many stories) with writer Paola Gula, a conference by historian Alberto Grandi, and theatrical performances by Teatrosequenza, Bradamante Teatro, and Mulino ad Arte. The festival closed on December 21 with "Impasti di memoria" (Doughs of memory) by Daniele Ronco, during the Christmas Market of Valle Varaita. All events were free of charge.
