Edition 2025 — Forgiveness Festival

The third edition of the Forgiveness Festival took place on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the Castle of Canossa, with costumed figure animations, the virtual tour "You are Matilde", guided tours, trekking on the Matildic trails, and a market of typical products and local crafts throughout the day.

The 3rd edition of the Forgiveness Festival was held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, opening at 10:00 AM in the village at the foot of Canossa's cliff.

Among the highlights were the virtual tour "You are Matilde" inside the castle (by reservation), animated by costumed figures of Matilda of Canossa, Henry IV, and Gregory VII, and the guided tour "Around the unseen castle" with Mario Barnabei. In the late afternoon, a performance by the flag wavers and fire show by the Maestà della Battaglia of Quattro Castella. Throughout the day, a market of typical products and local crafts, and trekking on the Matildic trails.
