Edition 2025 — Folkest
Folkest 2025 in San Daniele
The 47th edition of the festival had its heart in San Daniele del Friuli from July 3rd to 6th, 2025, with concerts in the squares, churches, and castle park, European showcases, singing and dance seminars, and sensory workshops. The opening, on Thursday, July 3rd, in the castle park, was entrusted to Moni Ovadia's 'Yiddish Blues'.
On Friday, July 4th, the gala concert in the church of Sant'Antonio Abate featured Trillanti, winners of the 2024 Cesa Prize; on July 5th, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, percussionist Joachim Cooder performed with Adriano Viterbini. The program, under the banner of the 'world's curious festival', brought sounds from Friuli, the Basque Country, Poland, Tunisia, Greece, Portugal, and Slovenia to San Daniele.
