Folkatanè 2025 — "Lest We Forget"

The 6th edition of the International Folklore Festival of Gravina di Catania was divided into two parts. The school phase, held on May 22 and 23, 2025 (from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM) at the Katanè Shopping Center on Via Salvatore Quasimodo, involved local school choirs and groups with Sicilian songs, dances, and legends, giving ample space to performances in the Sicilian language and themes of civic commitment and legality.

The final evening was held on June 15, 2025, at the Turi Ferro Municipal Amphitheater, in Parco Paolo Borsellino, with the participation of folk groups affiliated with the FITP. The event, with free admission, was organized by the Gravina Arte Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Gravina di Catania, confirming the festival as a landmark event for the promotion of Sicilian folklore among the new generations.

School phase — May 22-23, 2025

Katanè Shopping Center (Via Salvatore Quasimodo 1), 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Sicilian songs, dances, and legends with local school choirs and folk groups, dedicated to the theme of legality.
