Edition 2025 — Foglizzo Carnival
The 51st edition of the Foglizzo Carnival in 2025 featured Counts Enrica Aloisio and Fabio Merlo. The festival took place over the weekend of March 1st and 2nd, with the float parade from Piazza del Mercato opened by the Sbandieratori di Feletto, and the traditional distribution of 'fagioli grassi' and chestnuts at the Castle, followed by the 'pranzo grasso'.
Foglizzo Carnival 2025 - 51st edition
The 2025 edition, the fifty-first, featured official masks Counts Enrica Aloisio and Fabio Merlo, leading their court.
Program
- Saturday, March 1, 2:00 PM - Parade of allegorical floats and masked groups starting from Piazza del Mercato, opened by the Sbandieratori di Feletto; at the end, the Pro Loco distributed mulled wine and offered pizza and hot chocolate to children.
- Sunday, March 2, 9:30 AM - Distribution of fasoj e quaiette (beans and chestnuts) in the Castle courtyard, after the parish priest's blessing, with the distribution of bread rolls.
- Sunday, March 2, 11:00 AM - Mass with the Counts; 12:30 PM 'pranzo grasso' in the Castle hall (by reservation).
A festival that confirmed the vitality of the carnival traditions of Foglizzo, in the Canavese.
