Edition 2025 — Focarina di San Giuseppe
The Focarina di San Giuseppe is a folk tradition that is renewed each year in Savignano sul Rubicone, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, around St. Joseph's feast day. The large bonfire, lit according to Romagna peasant custom, symbolically marks the transition from winter to spring and has always been a gathering moment for the citizens.
The evening, enlivened by a food stand with typical Romagna flavors and musical accompaniment, is promoted by local volunteers with the patronage of the Municipality and with proceeds destined for charitable purposes. It is in this vein of tradition that, from the following year, the new Segone del Rubicone palio would be introduced.
