Florence Queer Festival 2025 — R/Esistenze
The 23rd edition of the Florence Queer Festival was held from November 26 to 30, 2025, at Cinema La Compagnia in Florence, with the theme R/Esistenze, dedicated to the daily acts of resilience, struggle, and care within the LGBTQIA+ community.
The festival opened on November 26 with the documentary Orgoglio e Pregiudizio by Marco Falorni, a look back at twenty-five years of battles for rights, and concluded with Queens of the Dead by Tina Romero, a queer reinterpretation of horror cinema. The program included feature films, documentaries, and short films in competition, as well as meetings, book presentations, exhibitions, and the free Queer Extra section.
Guests of the edition included: Imma Battaglia, Vladimir Luxuria, Simone Alliva, Marco Falorni, Andrea Frassoni, and Daphne Bohémien. Awards presented included honors for Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best Short Film, and the PRIDE Award.
