Flag Auction Festival

The 2025 edition of the Asta della Bandiera was held on Sunday, April 27. The procession departed at 3:30 PM from Largo Osanna, passing through Via Garibaldi, Piazza Regina Margherita, Via Mesagne, Via Alto Adige, Via De Gasperi, Via Puglie, and Via Brindisi, until reaching Piazza del Popolo where the "flag dance" began.

The town's districts returned to the stage — Sciardine, Crucicchia, Chiazza Rande, Lu Fuessu, Le Fòrche, La Lezza, and La strada te Brindisi — with about one hundred figures in historical costumes and the participation of groups from Torchiarolo. The day was enlivened by the Cavalieri di Quinzio association, the Rione Lama di Oria flag-wavers, the Scapula e fuci drummers, costumed dance schools, and the folk music of "Santu Pietru cu tutte le chiai". The flag auction was won by the Forche district with a bid of 6,000 euros, which was donated to the patronal feast.
