About Fiume Festival

Fiume Festival is the cultural review that at the beginning of September brings San Donà di Piave to reflect on the relationship between man and his river, the Piave. Music, theatre, readings, boat trips and gastronomy liven up the riverbanks and city spaces over three days with free admission. Organized by the Civic Museums together with Arteven and the Municipality, with the support of the Metropolitan City of Venice, the Veneto Region and the Ministry of Culture, it is one of the most iconic cultural events in eastern Veneto.

A festival born from the river

The Fiume Festival in San Donà di Piave, in the province of Venice, is a cultural review dedicated to the theme of the river and the relationship between man and water. The Piave – the "sacred river to the Fatherland" – is not just the backdrop, but the thematic heart of the event, which invites us to rediscover the deep bond between the territory and its waterway.

Culture on the riverbanks

The program combines music, theatre, readings, meetings, boat trips along the Piave and gastronomic proposals. The events mainly take place outdoors, along the riverbanks and in the city spaces, in a festive atmosphere with free admission.

Who organizes it

The festival is promoted by the Civic Museums of San Donà di Piave in collaboration with Arteven and the Municipality of San Donà di Piave, with the support of the Metropolitan City of Venice, the Veneto Region and the Ministry of Culture. It is included in the summer program Estiamo.
