Fish Festival

16th edition — August 8 and 9, 2025

The Porto Miggiano Fish Festival returned on August 8 and 9, 2025, for its sixteenth edition, confirming its status as one of the most popular culinary events of the summer in Santa Cesarea Terme. The Pro Loco stalls offered traditional Salento fresh seafood dishes — from cuttlefish with potatoes and scapace to granu stumpatu with seafood — accompanied by craft beer from local producers.

The two evenings were enlivened by music: pizzica and Salento folk on the first night, featuring traditional groups, and a repertoire of 80s, 90s, and 2000s hits on the second. At the end of the evening, as per tradition, free fried fish was distributed. The festival, with free admission, took place in the scenic Porto Miggiano cove under the August full moon.
