Filum Roma – Lace, Thread, and Textile Fair

The 2025 edition

From March 28 to 30, 2025, with opening hours from 10:00 to 19:00, Filum Roma occupied the spaces of the Hotel Mercure Roma West, at Via degli Eroi di Cefalonia 301 in Spinaceto, in the Municipality of Rome. The fair brought together exhibitors, artisans, and enthusiasts from all over Italy and abroad around the art of lace.

The public was able to observe refined workmanship up close, follow courses and workshops held by master lace makers aimed at both beginners and those who have been practicing for a long time, attend conferences on the symbolism of thread, and a fashion show that brought tradition and technology into dialogue. The event closed with the awards ceremony for the Filum Roma competition, dedicated that year to the theme of spirituality explored through the relationship between religion, nature, and harmony.

Among the most curious presences, the Spazio Chirale brought its research on bacterial dyeing of yarns to the fair, capable of changing color depending on light or heat. An edition that confirmed the fair's openness to new generations, with an increasingly numerous young audience.
