The 2025 edition: Somos all'Ecuador
On August 10, 2025, Ecuador commemorated the 216th anniversary of the Primer Grito de la Independencia, and the Ecuadorian community in Rome celebrated it with its own national festival, announced under the title Somos all'Ecuador 2025. The inauguration was entrusted to the Consul General of Ecuador in the Capital, Juan Carlos Apunte Franco.
The day combined live music, traditional gastronomy, and folklore, with the participation of community associations, artists, and numerous dance groups in traditional attire. During the same period, the fifth edition of the National Day of Ecuador was held in Milan, described by the ambassador as the largest free-access civic, cultural, and artistic event of the Ecuadorian community in Europe, with over 20,000 attendees: a benchmark that measures the depth of this community's roots in Italy.
In Rome, the festival confirmed its dual role: an identity celebration for those living far from their home country and an opportunity to meet the city, in Lazio, around the cuisine and dances of Ecuador.
