Fiera di San Michele

The 2025 edition of the Fiera di San Michele confirmed the deep bond between Tirano and its oldest fair. The main streets of the town center were filled with stalls, hobbyists, and stands selling typical products, while the sale of the 'Scudo di San Michele' — the sweet bread symbol of the event — renewed a ritual that has accompanied the people of Tirano for generations. The fair, established in 1514, continues to be one of the most cherished events of the Valtellina autumn, a testament to the city's historic commercial vocation.
