Edition 2025 — Fiera delle Forche

The 12th edition of the Fiera delle Forche took place in mid-August 2025 in Piazza Cavour, Sant'Eusanio Forconese. It was an edition of great symbolic value: the historic square, returned to the community after the years following the 2009 earthquake, hosted one of the first major public events, recording a full house. There was no shortage of craft markets, agricultural tool exhibitions, stalls with traditional peasant dishes, and live music evenings.

Fiera delle Forche 2025: the rebirth of the square

The 12th edition of the Fiera delle Forche was held in mid-August 2025 in Piazza Cavour, in the historic center of Sant'Eusanio Forconese (L'Aquila). This edition took on a special meaning: the square, fully accessible again after the years following the 2009 earthquake, was filled with people in what was described as a true rebirth of the town's heart.

As per tradition, the fair featured craft markets, an exhibition of antique agricultural tools, and farm-to-table food stalls serving pappardelle alla mul'nara, gnocchetti and bean soup, and arrosticini. The evenings were enlivened by concerts from Lo Strano Percorso and an 883 Tribute Band, as well as a DJ set by DJ Comollo (Radio 105) and ballroom and Caribbean group dances.

Programme

Afternoon: opening of craft markets and exhibition of antique agricultural tools. Evening: opening of food stalls with traditional peasant specialties (pappardelle alla mul'nara, gnocchetti and bean soup, arrosticini). Followed by musical entertainment in Piazza Cavour with concerts (Lo Strano Percorso, 883 Tribute Band), group dances, and a DJ set with DJ Comollo (Radio 105).
