Christmas arrives in Muggiò

As the holidays approach, Muggiò — a Municipality in the Province of Monza and Brianza — lights up the Christmas atmosphere with its Fiera dei Mercanti (Merchants' Fair), also known as 'The Enchanted Christmas Village'. The event, organised by the Municipality, enlivens the historic centre and Piazza Matteotti on a Sunday in December, from 9 am to 7 pm, transforming the town into a large open-air market.

Markets and craftsmanship

Along the streets of the centre, the fair's stalls offer artisan products, clothing, home goods, and street food, providing the ideal opportunity for Christmas shopping and a stroll among the stalls. It's the classic village fair formula, here presented in a Christmas theme with decorations and lights.

A celebration for children

The heart of the day is the entertainment dedicated to the little ones: a giant inflatable sled, pony rides, sweet tastings, and creative workshops run by local associations, mascots and entertainment, all the way to Santa's cottage where children can meet the most beloved figure of the holidays. Providing the soundtrack is a gospel choir and Christmas-themed music. With free admission, the Fiera dei Mercanti natalizia di Muggiò is one of the events that kick off Christmas in the Brianza region, combining shopping, tradition, and magic for families.
