Fëta de l'Ano - Festa dell'Asino e Palio degli Asini di Ollomont

The 2025 edition of the Fëta de l'Ano confirmed the established format of the festival in Ollomont, Aosta Valley. The heart of the day was the Palio degli Asini, the race between teams of three people who compete to guide the donkey along the course, amidst fun and unpredictability.

The gastronomic aspect was not forgotten, with the tasting of donkey meat accompanied by polenta, fontina, and local cheeses, a symbol of Valpelline's mountain cuisine. The festival, born in the seventies to commemorate the role of donkeys in transport to the mountain pastures and in mining activities, brought the community and numerous visitors together in an atmosphere of popular celebration.
