The 2025 edition of the festivities in honor of Maria Santissima di Carpignano took place from Thursday, September 4, to Sunday, September 7, in the village of Carpignano, Grottaminarda. Four days featuring the 4th edition of the Pork Festival, the procession of the statue toward Grottaminarda, the blessing of the oxen, the motorcycle rally, solemn masses presided over by bishops, and the closing concert by Ciccio Merolla.

The 2025 edition

From September 4 to 7, 2025, the village of Carpignano, in the Municipality of Grottaminarda (Province of Avellino), experienced four days of celebration around the Sanctuary managed by the Mercedarian Fathers. The secular program opened on Thursday, September 4, with the Tommaso Sasso live band, featuring dance revivals and Italian classics, followed by Mario Peluso.

Friday, September 5, was the turn of the 4th edition of the Pork Festival, with typical Irpinian products accompanied by the music of Seppuccio Folk. Saturday, September 6, after the departure of the procession toward Grottaminarda and the celebration of the mass upon return to the Sanctuary, the festival stands reopened with musical accompaniment by Mario Bi.

Sunday, the highlight day, saw the blessing of the oxen in memory of the legendary plow furrow, the motorcycle rally with a ride and blessing, the solemn mass presided over by Msgr. Michele Autuoro, the afternoon procession through the districts and the center of the village, the evening mass presided over by Msgr. Riccardo Ferri, and, in closing, the concert by Ciccio Merolla followed by a DJ set by Luca Frisetti. The City of Luogosano Brass Band accompanied the events on Saturday and Sunday.
