Edition 2025 — Saint Roch in Motta d'Affermo
2025 Edition
The 2025 festivities in honor of Saint Roch in Motta d'Affermo, in the province of Messina, reprised the most heartfelt rites of tradition. The day of August 15th featured morning and evening masses, a brass band concert at 10:00 PM, and the award ceremony for the Flowered Balcony competition at 11:30 PM.
August 16th, the saint's solemnity, offered the Pilgrim's Mass at 6:30 AM, the announcement of the festival with firecrackers, the band in the streets, the Procession of Miracles at 10:00 AM, the Solemn Mass at 11:00 AM, the Historical Cavalcade in the afternoon, the evening procession with civil and religious authorities and the Vara, the musical show in the square at 10:00 PM, and the fireworks display at midnight. The entire event, completely free, attracted pilgrims and visitors from the entire Nebrodi area.
