Festivities in Honor of Saint James the Apostle

In 2025, the Festivities in honor of Saint James the Apostle in Geraci Siculo took place between July 25th and August 10th. The liturgical feast was celebrated on Friday, July 25th, at 6:30 PM in the Church of Saint James.

On Saturday, August 9th, at 5:50 PM, the procession departed from the Mother Church towards the Church of Saint James for the afternoon Holy Mass, preceded by prayers, and the transfer of the Saint's image to the Mother Church. In the evening, in Piazza del Popolo, the two-act comedy U Varvieri... e chiddru che capita by the Teatro di Borgata Association of Raffo was performed.

Sunday, August 10th, the day of the main feast, featured successive Eucharistic celebrations, including the Solemn Mass at the Mother Church with the Deputies, followed by the solemn procession at 7:30 PM with the sacred image and the holy relic. The evening concluded in Piazza del Popolo with a cabaret show by the comedy group I Quattro Gusti.
